On May 30, 2019, the International Business Forum "Russia - Africa: Partnership for Development" will be held in the Congress Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. The event is being held with the support of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in preparation for the Russian-African summit in Sochi in October of this year.
The forum is organized by the Foundation for the Development of Innovative Entrepreneurship at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the National Guild of Commodity Producers and Importers, the information portal "First Unofficial".
The forum will be attended by the heads of the Foreign Ministry of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, leading experts in the field of trade and economic relations of Russia with African countries, heads of Russian companies operating in Africa, and Ethiopia , Rwanda, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Angola, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Mauritius, South Africa.
Within the framework of the program of the event, the Plenary session is planned on the theme: "Development of economic cooperation of the Russian Federation with African countries as a response to the strengthening of the global challenges of our time."
In addition to this, thematic round tables will be held in the following areas:
• Development of cooperation with Africa in the field of agriculture;
• Industrial cooperation in the production of high value-added products (machinery, equipment, components and mechanisms for transport, energy);
• Export to Africa of medical equipment and pharmaceuticals produced in Russia. The draft program is attached here.
